EoC Global Gathering: Flashes of life & roots
Some advance information on the programme for our next meeting on Saturday 14 December, online from 14:00. We will start right away with our news «Flashes of EoC Life» with a greeting from Isaias Hernando of the International EoC Commission, who will introduce us to the news of these months, starting with the birth of The Economy of Francesco Foundation, of which Economy of Communion is a founding member.
Then Sara María Alvarez Moises will update us on the progress of the Conecta Project -concluded at the end of November in Barcelona- and introduce us to some of the protagonists. From Spain we will then be transported to South Korea, where we will meet a very active and lively Economy of Communion community, which met at the end of October for a national EoC forum in which some members of the international commission also participated. Anouk Grevin will tell us something about this special trip. Turning the page Tainà Santana of Team OPLA will present us with the OPLA 2024 Report: we will discover how the resources pooled by the EoC companies have been used this year and how they have been transformed into a better life for so many people around the world.
Then the eagerly awaited meeting with the Filipino entrepreneur and EoC pioneer protagonist of this Flashes of life & roots,
Tita Puangco, who will be connecting from the Philippines. After the video interview curated by Sara Maria, Tita will dialogue with those present: it will be possible to ask her questions or share our reflections with her.
Going back to the roots: in what for Economy of Communion is a time of transition, we have realized how vital it is to look back to the "roots", to what was experienced in the founding years. Listening to the pioneering entrepreneurs who from the very beginning radically accepted Chiara Lubich's invitation to give birth to "Economy of Communion in freedom enterprises" is important because they certainly have something vital and charismatic to tell us today about the future of the EoC.
The meeting will close with a special thought from Anouk Grevin, to inspire and encourage us to live the economy of communion even better as Christmas approaches. Don't miss it!
