Economy of Communion is deeply grateful to Pope Francis: Luigino Bruni expresses this gratitude with his special greeting to the Pope who met with EoC entrepreneurs in 2017 and who in 2019 wanted to launch The Economy of Francesco

Pope Francis has had a special relationship with the EoC, and not only with the Economy of Francesco. In February 2017, he told the entrepreneurs and the EoC world he received in audience:
«We must then aim to change the rules of the game of the economic-social system. Of course, when the entrepreneur or any person comes across a victim, he is called to take care of him, and perhaps, like the Good Samaritan, also involve the market (the hotelier) in his action of fraternity. But above all, we must act before man comes across bandits, fighting the structures of sin that produce bandits and victims. An entrepreneur who is only a good Samaritan does half his duty: he takes care of today's victims, but does not reduce those of tomorrow.»
We will miss you very much, Pope Francis, we will miss your comfort, we will miss your words, your smile, your wisdom. But above all we will miss you, your person, we will miss the father, the pastor, the friend.
But your example and your legacy will not fall into the void. You were a shareholder of the common good in our society, someone, at times the only one, who in the 'corporate meetings' represented those invisible majority shareholders, the poor. And you raised your hand, always, hoping against all hope. Now we will raise it, we will continue your good fight.
Thank you Francesco. We loved you very much, and you us. I greet you with the name with which you greeted me the last time: Luigino.
