EoC Global Gathering: Flashes of life & roots
A few more details about the program for our next meeting next Saturday, in online mode starting at 1:00 pm. We will start by remembering the 33rd anniversary of the launching of the EoC project on May 29, 1991, with a greeting from Isaias Hernando of the International EoC Commission, who will give us a careening look at the activities of the past few months. We will then meet the faces of some of the EoC protagonists, people in a state of economic vulnerability who have received some support from EoC over the past year: we will hear from Tainà Santana of Team OPLA about them. We will then move on to the «Flashes of EoC Life»:news from the EoC world. The protagonists of this edition's in-depth reports will be the Restart Project, Syria presented by Domingos Franco and the Conecta Project about which Sara María Alvarez Moises will tell us..
Then the long-awaited meeting with the pioneering EoC entrepreneur featured in this
Flashes of life & roots, Italian entrepreneur Alberto Ferrucci, who will be connecting from Genoa. Alberto will share with us his rich experience of entrepreneurial life and his commitment alongside Chiara Lubich to build an economy from the Gospel, which began in 1984 with the International Bureau of Economy and Work and then continued since 1991, and then continued from 1991, when it came to laying the groundwork for the EoC project, which Chiara gave him responsibility for.
Going back to the roots: in what for Economy of Communion is a time of transition, we have realized how vital it is to look back to the "roots", to what was experienced in the founding years. Listening to the pioneering entrepreneurs who from the very beginning radically accepted Chiara Lubich's invitation to give birth to "Economy of Communion in freedom enterprises" is important because they certainly have something vital and charismatic to tell us today about the future of the EoC.
We will then connect with Brazil to talk about climate justice with Marina Gattas, Emilio and Viceli from Rio Grande do Sul and the Amazon, respectively.
