It is for Saturday, 16 December at 13:00 (CET), the EoC family meeting entitled:
EoC Global Gathering: Flashes of life & roots
A few more details about our meeting next Saturday, online from 13:00 (CET). It has been anticipated that this will be a family meeting and that we will meet from one corner of the vast EoC world to exchange Christmas greetings. As happens in a family, we will tell each other about the news of the last few months, ranging from reporting on the work of the Leo Andringa Poverty Observatory (OPLA) to various news from Argentina, Austria, Brazil and Italy.
We will also get to meet Rodolfo Leibholz, Brazilian EoC pioneer and first star of the Flashes of life & roots event series. What lies behind this mysterious title? We will find out together on Saturday but in the meantime we can anticipate something. Today Economy of Communion is certainly in a period of transition: the International Commission is working at various levels to understand what changes are needed to implement effective governance for the future and a new narrative of the EoC; from the work of these months it has emerged forcefully how fundamental it is to look to the roots ("roots"), to what was experienced in the founding years. Certainly not for a nostalgic operation as much as to listen to those pioneering entrepreneurs who immediately accepted with radicality Chiara Lubich's invitation to give birth to "enterprises of Economy of Communion in freedom" because - without a doubt - they have something vital and charismatic to tell us today for the future of the EoC.
We will then have a short talk by Luigino Bruni and finally Christmas greetings from Anouk Grevin. Don't miss it!
If you haven't already done so, there is still time to register here.Remember that registration is essential in order to receive the link to attend. The meeting will be multilingual with simultaneous translations. We look forward to seeing you!
