11 years after the first Pan-African EoC School, Nairobi, (Kenya) will welcome the participants of the 2nd Pan-African Congress. The appointment is for May 27-29, 2022!
January 23 - 25, 2011: the first Pan-African EoC School, which marked the real beginning of the EoC in Africa, was held in exactly the same place, the Mariapolis Piero. In the days that immediately followed, the EoC also came to "public life" with the first EoC Academic Conference on African soil held at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) in Nairobi with the title: EOC: A New Paradigm for African Development. Participants from 12 African nations, as well as the United States, Europe and Asia, attended that three-day event and from that conference came the first important collaborations, first and foremost with CUEA itself.
Since then, many initiatives have been carried out on African soil: the first fruits were gathered in May 2015 with the Pan-African EoC School in which 180 young people from 27 African nations participated, followed by the 5th International EoC Congress "Yes to an Economy of Communion" with over 400 participants and and representatives from the 5 continents. It was precisely from the meeting between the young people and the entrepreneurs that took place at that congress that the stimulus to start new businesses emerged, which in the following years found a concrete outlet through the EoC-IIN project.
In these 7 years there has been a lot of life and challenges. Now the time is ripe for all African entrepreneurs who are members or sympathizers of the EoC to meet again (together with those who have business relations with Africa) to implement common strategies and share their EoC experiences in light of the particular African culture. The title chosen for the 2nd Pan-African Congress to be held at Mariapolis Piero May 27-29, 2022 is :
“A step ahead towards an expression of the values of African companies.”
The Pan-African Congress of EoC Entrepreneurs 2022 aims to strengthen the bond between entrepreneurs through the sharing of life experiences, opportunities for dialogue, workshops and mentoring of young people in order to help shape the future of the EoC in Africa. The ultimate goal: to draw up a joint action plan for the next 10 years and think about strategies to realize Kenya's dream through incubators "one company is not enough", with a special focus on young people. It will also be an opportunity to celebrate the 31st anniversary of the EoC together!
More details of the program will be announced in the coming weeks. In the meantime, you can visit the dedicated website: eoc-africa.org/, while you can already register online here
