Extraordinary General Assembly of the Association for the Economy of Communion in Central Africa (AECAC) : A new action plan to reinforce the work on the field

The Association for the Economy of Communion in Central Africa (AECAC) held an extraordinary general assembly on Saturday 26 January 2019 at its headquarters at “Nouvelle route Omnisport”. During this extraordinary general assembly, the members of the association evaluated the past actions of the AECAC, discussed perspectives and made amendments to the action plan with exchanges on strategies to mobilize and remobilize the members.
It was observed that, like every organization the AECAC faced some challenges after three years of existence. The first executive bureau recounted the hindrances that have either slowed down the pace of work of the association or restricted its activities. The difficulties include; some misunderstanding in the AECAC executive, inadequate finances due to very little contributions from members of the association and the executive and unavailability of some executives called for other duties abroad.

Prior to the elections, a reorganized team of prospective executive bureau members proposed an action plan before the general assembly. This was presented by Djuidje Kengne Manuella, campaigning for the post of President for the next mandate. Her proposals were:
- to carryout formation of workers from various organization on Economy of Communion Values (EoC);
- to carry out Formation of students in Evangelic University of Bandjoun;
- to organize counselling days in Douala for students.

This was welcomed with a lot of euphoria by the general assembly who promised an indefectible support for the success of these activities and other ongoing such as the training of Internally Displaced Persons by the Economy of Communion International Incubation Network (EoCIIN) young entrepreneurs with the support of EoC entrepreurs worldwide represented.

A nine man team was voted and installed into the new bureau (among which are 04 new members: Vice President: Manuella Djuidje Kengne, Secretary General: Godrick Bunya Financial Secretary: Fotue Pierre, Discipline master: Kamdem Sidonie)

In a closing remark, the responsible of the Focolare Movement in Douala, KEUHO Agnes Marie encouraged the new team to work in unity and to carry the Association ahead, “Yes, a strong foundation has been laid to enable the AECAC attain its objectives”. The President elect, Mr. Steve William Azeumo thanked everyone for the support especially to the local EoC entrepreneurs who are always ready to support the young generation.
